Creative Design

The Creative Design faculty includes Design & Technology, Art & Design and Food & Nutrition.

In Years 7, 8 & 9 Student rotate around all subjects throughout the year ensuring they develop practical, creative skills across the curriculum.

Art and Design, Food and Nutrition and Design & Technology are taught in a purpose-built block which contains two general art rooms, three food rooms; including two newly refurbished catering rooms built to commercial standards, a design room with 15 PCs, a technology room equipped for design development work, a wood workshop and a multi-purpose workshop with metalworking facilities and a plastics bay.  All these rooms are based around a large project area which allows for flexible use

Design & Technology encourages you to be creative and original, and have fun designing and making your own ideas.


Construction & the built environment

Construction is a practical subject where you will make objects out of wood & also learn construction skills and processes
