Year 7

The Year 7 Parents Information Video from September 2021 can be viewed below.

Attending secondary school can be an equally exciting and daunting experience for young people and, as such, our transition programme begins well in advance of students joining us in September. Our Director of Transition will have met with primary colleagues, getting an understanding of students’ needs and their aspirations. In July, we then invite all year 6 students into college for two days, where they experience their new home:

It is our intention that this process gives students every opportunity to feel comfortable, supported and have confidence with which to start their Bottisham Village College journey. Students will undergo a series of online assessments, as we wish to quickly get an understanding of their strengths and needs. Combined with KS2 data, we shall then work to place students in appropriate study groups.
