Pilates
Pilates is an alternative body conditioning technique which concentrates on the deep postural muscles (torso and back) and works by building strength from the inside out. This is low impact class suitable for all abilities and ages, has no routines and is physically and emotionally rewarding in its simplicity.” Tuesdays 11.30am – 12.30pm and Thursday 9.15am-10am.
Disco Spinning
Spinning is a aerobic group excersise class taking place on specially designed spin bikes.
This is performed in a studio to motivation music with the instructor leading the class from the front.
The instructor will change 3 things to adjust the intensity of the 45 minute class:
1. Pedal Rate
2. Resistance on the flywheel
3. Riders Body Postion
The 45 minute class will consist of a warm up, various sprints and climbs, standing and seated, with a cool down to finish.
These classes are a fantastic aerobic workout getting your heart pumping fast and burn up to 450 calories. |
