Year 11 Exams

Year 11 Exams

Key Dates & Information
  • Monday 13th May: Start of Study Leave
From this date, there is no requirement for students to be in school, save for their examinations. Parents and carers will therefore be fully responsible for students’ safeguarding and revision from this day onwards, and will be represented on their official attendance mark. More details can be found in the Exams Guide.
  • Masterclasses, Breakfast and Exam Warm-Up
Breakfast will be available for students from 8:00am prior to every morning exam. Staff will also be available to deliver warm-up sessions in the dining hall prior to morning exams.
  • Examination Equipment and Conduct
Please can we urge families to take note of the guidance re: phones and smart-devices in the Exam Guide. Very clearly, this is an aspect which examination bodies deem as significantly serious and have taken very swift and decisive action with those who have not adhered.
  • Monday 17th June: Final GCSE Examination
  • Wednesday 26th June: Examination Contingency Day
  • Friday 28th June: Leavers’ Ball
This will take place at the college on Friday 28th June from 7pm - 11pm. Guests will enter the venue through the community entrance to the college library and then into the marquee on the college grounds. Transport should pull-up at the bottom of the walkway, where guests will be welcomed by staff and escorted up the red carpet, if required.
In order to avoid congestions on Lode Road, we request that parents/carers/friends wishing to view the event and take photographs, park their cars in the college car park and stand well back from approaching vehicles.
Tickets cost £25. Please pay using WisePay or, alternatively, pay by visiting The Finance Office, no later than Friday 14th June.
It is important that students and their parents/carers understand and recognise our insistence that the event remains alcohol-free. Should the college feel that students have been consuming alcohol beforehand, they will be refused entry and parents asked to come to collect them immediately.
The evening is always an exceptional event and is one of the highlights of the Bottisham calendar.
  • Thursday 22nd August: Results Day
We will be contacting parents and students concerning the details for results day at a later stage.
On this day, if parents and students would like to donate uniform and revision guides/materials, we would be incredibly thankful indeed. Alternatively, uniform you wish to donate can be dropped off at main reception any time after May 10th.
