Bottisham Village College Proposal

on Change of Status to a Foundation

and Acquisition of a Trust

 

 

 

At their meeting on 22nd June 2010, the Governing Body decided to proceed to become a Trust Foundation School, effective from 1st September 2010.


We look forward to working with all of our Trust Partners in continuing to develop wide ranging and exciting opportunities for all students, whilst supporting our inclusive village college ethos.

Statutory Proposal

 

Following the initial consultation process on the proposal for Bottisham Village College to change status and establish a trust, the Governing Body are today, 30th April 2010, publishing a Statutory Proposal to this effect. The Statutory Notice will be published in the Cambridge Evening News, displayed around the college and on this website. In addition, the full Statutory Proposal and other associated information is also available on request as hard copies from Main Reception at the college.

Prescribed Alterations to Bottisham Village College


Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 19(3) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the Governing Body of Bottisham Village College intends to make a prescribed alteration to Bottisham Village College (A Community School) Lode Road, Bottisham, Cambridge, CB25 9DL.

 

The proposed alteration is to change category from a community school to a foundation school and to acquire a foundation established otherwise than under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 from 1st September 2010.

 

It is proposed that the foundation will be called The Bottisham Educational Trust and that the membership will include: Bottisham Village College, Cambridge Building Society, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, Faculty of Education University of Cambridge, The Marshall Group of Companies, The National Stud, Red 2 Green, John Lewis Partnership.

 

The key purpose of the foundation will be to support the education of pupils at the school and to promote community cohesion through supporting the school in achieving the outcomes under the Every Child Matters Agenda of Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Making a Positive Contribution and Achieve Economic Well Being. Establishing the foundation will enable the school to make positive and sustainable relationships with the partner organisations and secure their permanent commitment to working with the school on these key aims.

 

This Notice is a summary of the full statutory proposals. Copies of the complete proposal can be obtained in paper copy by writing to the Chair of the Governors care of the School Office, Bottisham Village College, Lode Road, Bottisham, Cambridge, CB25 9DL and marking the envelope “Statutory Proposals” or by downloading the
documents from this website.

 

Within four weeks of the date of publication of this proposal any person may object to or make comments on the proposal by sending them to Mr Philip Hodgson, Chair of the Governing Body, Bottisham Village College, Lode road, Bottisham, Cambridge, CB25 9DL. Objection or comments must be received by Friday 28th May 2010.

Death in a sweet and sour package - Henrietta Howling.  The theme of my doodle4google is based on Takeshi Obta. He is the illustrator of 'Death Note'. His drawings are amazing and the manga’s storyline is classic yet amazingly creative. This book brings traditional Japanese folk lore to life with the use of shinigamis, wara ningyo and more. This was created in Photoshop6 Elements, using a graphics tablet.
